Friend:Ship

As Valentine's Day looms like a dark, heavy cloud over the vast abyss that is single life, I have decided to think of happier things in life. I don't want to dwell on the gushy red hearts and stuff or I will vomit on this computer and I don't have the money for a new one and I'm not rich. But speaking of riches, I want to talk on the subject of being rich in friendship, all corniness intended.

I'm just really happy that in times where self esteem is low or sadness and loneliness creep in, I have friends to count on to bring my spirit up. I'm gonna break the word down to show the importance of friendship (bare with me).
Friend/ Ship

Friends are like a life boat in times of need. A ship of trust that will keep you afloat in times of trouble; be your party cruise in fun times and dance the night away (maybe even on walls ;) lol ). They are even like a pirate ship, but in the sense that you can give and take, borrow, etc. from each other without worry. Ok, that was a bad example, but the point is that it's called friendship because the relationship, while not unsinkable because bad things do happen, allows you to discover new things, new night clubs, music, dancing, etc.

Anyways, if you're a friend reading this, thanks for the memories and I appreciate everything that we do. Whether it's long talks on the phone, long talks on the bedroom or bathroom floor, or random road trips. You keep me grounded and happy, because as long as I have people to count on, I don't feel as lonely or crappy about the guy that was cute but that I didn't have a chance with :).

I better end this post before I make even myself vomit because of the niceties that are spewing from my mouth. Hope this post lifts spirits and hearts on this Friday the 13th and day away from the big heart day. Goodnight.

(Listening to "My life would suck without you"~~Kelly Clarkson "You got a piece of me and honestly my life would suck without you...." and it would ;) )
