Ok, so technically it is the next day, but it's midnight, so the post will say the 19th, but I like writing later at night. Not only because I have nothing to do, but it's when the wheels are still turning in that cavernous head of mine. I think writing helps to slow the gears down enough so sleep is possible. So I thought of my own topic today, and that's music.
I don't think I would survive my life without music. It fills the silence, makes you remember things (think about it, you may not know the beginning of the declaration of independence, but by God you can remember the beginning to Britney's Spears "Oops I did it again."), makes you want to dance, and sometimes just gets you through the day, whether it makes you happy, sadder, angry, depressed, etc...
I think that most people would agree with me that music is the heartbeat of our way of life. If you were to walk around a college campus, city streets, anywhere, you will usually find more than a few people with headphones on their heads; mouthing the words to some song they probably listen to every day and feel special for knowing it word for word. Rather than have the whispers of your thoughts in the mind, the music is right there to keep you company.
Music is just....amazing. I don't know what else to say. I could probably ramble on more about how music speaks to the soul and that even when you are at your worst, it can bring memories to light that are bound to change your mood...but I don't want to write a novel. Yet.
But on the topic of music, before I end, I would like to point out that I think it's BS that iTunes may have a iTax on downloading songs. You might as well ask people to illegally download songs...Anyways, iTunes can kick my iAss.
Music is love, love, music, that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know (my twist on Keats ;) )
(Listening to "No One Remix"~~Alicia keys..."I know, some people search the world...." Keep looking)
